Health in Focus
A “healing environment” in excellently functioning, human-centered health sector buildings
Our highly engineered hospitals are facing new challenges. In addition to their exacting requirements for energy efficiency, hygiene, and fire and acoustic protection, the need to manage working processes and user demands in a professional manner requires a building concept developed by an interdisciplinary team.
In addition to this, patients and personnel expect that a modern “health sector building” will have a pleasant and high-quality design that promotes healing and wellbeing.

In healthcare construction, up to 40 different operational processes must be organized under one roof. For these processes to come together as a functioning and experiential whole, a close collaboration between process planning and architectural design is required.
