Distinctly angled

Health Service Center Wien

Under a Design Build contract for PORR AG as the general contractor, we planned a six-story extension building for the Wiener Privatklinik-Gruppe. Structurally separated by an intervening park, the new building is connected to the existing Wiener Privatklinik via an underground corridor.

The urban space is rounded off and the turn-of-the-century row of houses finds its architectural expansion with the new center. A striking pointed building angle in the upper floors emphasizes the recessed glass entrance area.

The light beige facade picks up the color scheme of the neighboring buildings and integrates into the existing harmonious streetscape. The facade design is inspired by the louvered facades of the neighboring buildings. The upper floors have horizontal, floor-shifted rows of windows. The interior is dominated by bright, 'clean' tones.

The new building includes a radiology practice, a time-sharing medical center and 7-day practices, medical offices, administrative areas, an orthopedic shop, and an underground car park covering over 9,000 m².
