Klinikum Passau
Opening of the Largest Construction Section to Date
The new building expands the capacities of the leading specialized hospital in Eastern Bavaria: three outpatient clinics and six wards with 184 beds were inaugurated.
Bavarian Minister President Markus Söder described Passau Hospital as a "large house with great promise" on the occasion of the opening of the new large ward block. In the presence of Judith Gerlach, State Minister for Health, Care and Prevention, our planning team, led by architects Tobias Schwarz and Nicolai von Stromberg, also celebrated the completion.
Modern Regional Healthcare
The now sixth construction phase, with a total area of around 16,500 square meters, is the largest project of the hospital to date. This is intended to further improve the capacity and thus the quality of medical care in the region. The building houses three outpatient clinics and six wards with 184 beds, as well as a pathology practice, the central warehouse, and office and seminar rooms.
For the well-being of the patients, ATP's specialist healthcare construction planning focused on people-centered architecture and a healing environment. At the same time, a highly modern, functionally optimized work environment was created for the hospital staff. The high quality of stay is enhanced by three spacious light wells that provide the interior spaces with ample daylight.
By the end of 2025, all departments are expected to have moved in, and the ward block will be fully operational.

The goal of our daily work is to ensure optimal functionality for the treatment of patients and at the same time create a healing environment..
