Designer Outlet as Green Building
BREEAM certification and top marks in the categories “Service Quality” and “Equipment/Infrastructure”
Soltau, 22nd September 2014 – Germany’s Designer Outlet Soltau can now refer to itself as ‘The first European Outlet Center to have been awarded BREEAM certification before the completion of construction” and a winner in the ‘Service’ and ‘Equipment/Infrastructure’ categories in tests carried out by the “German Institute for Service Quality”.
Integrally designed by ATP Frankfurt, the Designer Outlet Soltau has officially been awarded highly sought-after BREEAM (‘Building Research Environmental Assessment Method’) Certification via the Green Building Certification System. This makes it the only designer outlet in Europe to have been awarded such certification before the completion of construction. Such certification offers an internationally-recognized benchmark for the sustainable design, construction and operation of buildings by rating the ecological, economic and social quality of a building across its entire lifecycle.
The Designer Outlet Soltau can be proud not only of its BREEAM Certification, but also of its top marks in tests organized by the German Institute for Service Quality in which the Designer Outlet Soltau took first place in the “Service” and “Equipment/Infrastructure” categories. These tests investigated and assessed the service and consulting quality of ten selected outlet centers across Germany.
