Therapy Room for the Children’s Hospital
ATP supported the creation of a movement room in Frankfurt’s Clementine Children’s Hospital
Frankfurt, 21st January 2015 – ATP’s 2012 Christmas donation went to the creation of a multifunctional room for movement, theater and group therapy that has now been opened. The rebuilding of the roof level has created an area for the small patients which is fully equipped to provide child-friendly treatment.
“We are delighted that our donation has made a contribution to the provision of therapy and the improvement of the health of children and will be very interested to see how many possibilities the new spaces offer to the young children” said the architect Ulf Bambach, ATP’s Partner in Frankfurt. Bambach manages ATP Frankfurt, one of the ATP Group’s eight independent design offices, which has been increasingly involved in the health sector since 2012. This is why it was decided to donate the planned sum of 20,000 euros to the Clementine Children’s Hospital in Frankfurt am Main.
PD Dr. med. Kay Latta, the Medical Director of the hospital, is also delighted that the conversion of the roof level has created more space for patients of the Psychosomatic and Neuropediatric Departments. “Each square meter of ourdensely built hospital site that we can use in the interest of our patients is, after all, valuable.”
The roof level could not be used for a long time for fire protection reasons. After the three-month rebuilding the space is now fitted out with a whole range of child-friendly therapeutic equipment and meets the relevant fire protection requirements.
Clementine Children’s Hospital
Clementine Children’s Hospital treats ill children from birth until their teenage years. The hospital has four stations with 75 resident beds as well as an outpatient’s clinic.
