Volyně , 5^th April 2012– Gustav Trefil was invited by the Technical High School to give a lecture on his role as lead structural engineer of the G3 Shopping Resort in Gerasdorf bei Wien. The complex structure presented by Trefil, an imposing 60.000 m² wave-like timber roof, aroused great interest.

The seminar, a specialist event for timber building experts from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Finland, Great Britain and Canada, is principally aimed at designers, architects, investors and clients as well as interested members of the public. This year’s meeting focused on themes such as the characteristics of timber as a material, timber building, the realisation and protection of timber construction and ecological aspects of timber building.
