2012-10-31 Opening of the first phase of aspern IQ

Vienna, 31.10.2012- “The first building sets new standards in the Seestadt”, was the description by the Vienna Business Agency of the building which they commissioned ATP Vienna to design on the basis of ATP’s success in the initial competition. The energy efficient future-oriented building offers space for 250 high quality jobs in the environmental technology sector and gives an important boost to the development of the Seestadt. The Technology Centre was opened in the presence of Infrastructure Minister Doris Bures, the Client and a number of representatives of ATP Vienna.

In the words of Horst Reiner, Managing Director of ATP Vienna: “As the flagship project of the Seestadt, aspern IQ is an example of a building which is adapted to the local resources, offers an optimum level of user comfort and meets all sustainability requirements.” The Technology Centre was awarded the maximum number of points in the klima:aktiv declaration, as well as being presented with a ÖGNB Building Quality Award
