Opening of an office building at the Ludwigshafen headquarters of BASF
Ludwigshafen, 7th November 2014 – The new offices were handed over to their future users during the official opening party – in the presence of Eva Lohse, Mayor of the City of Ludwigshafen, Jochen Keysberg (Member of the Board of Bilfinger SE) and Friedrich Seitz (Manager of BASF’s Ludwigshafen plant). “The architecture and reserved nature of the building make it modern” commented Lohse, “as a result of which it fits very well into our prime site on the Southern Bank of the Rhine.”
The design paid special attention to the flexibility and attractiveness of the office areas, the design of the façades, the energy concept and the areas of planting. Willo van der Veen, ATP’s project leader explained that: “the objective of the design was to create attractive workspaces with sequences of internal and external spaces and flexible uses which contribute to the positive atmosphere generated by creative communication.”
ATP Frankfurt won the competition for the new construction of an office building for the globally active chemicals company in the shape of a concept study for Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH in 2012
