Opening of Mutschellen Medical Center

Completion of the first phase of the planned retirement home

Berikon, 4th April 2016 – The new medical center in Berikon in the Swiss region of Mutschellen has opened: ATP kfp Zurich joined doctors and clients to celebrate the opening of the new building complex for 16 doctors. The completion of the retirement home with 35 apartments is planned for early 2017.

The extremely short construction period of just eight months for the “Mutschellen Medical Center” represented an enormous challenge for all involved. The speed of building and the ability to meet the ambitious deadline was the result of intense cooperation between clients, designers and contractors.

The result is a building that will meet urban design, architectural and operations requirements. The special geometry of the building volume enables it to merge perfectly into its surroundings and carefully handle the transition with the adjacent cultivated land in such a way that it enhances both the townscape and the wider environment. The medical center is publicly accessible. In addition to its basic infrastructure the spatial program of the building includes eleven surgeries, a laboratory and seven further rooms for such requirements as x-rays, audio facilities and special treatments. This means that GPs and specialists cover eleven specific areas of medicine. This group practice concept means that the “Mutschellen Medical Center” is a pioneer in the region.
