2012-08-30 DO Soltau opened
The BREEAM certified designer outlet opened its doors in the presence of investors, politicians, other VIPs and many members of the public.
Soltau, 30th August 2012– For more about the ceremonial opening of the sustainable, state-of-the-art designer outlet in the presence of investor Sylvie Mutschler, see http://www.designeroutletsoltau.com/de/news-events/
The designer outlet was created by ATP architects engineers, Frankfurt, in a so-called “village style” with both modern and regional stylistic elements and is based on the idea of a village which has developed organically over time. As a new type of outlet, this shopping world was designed around a central open space which makes a major contribution to the sense of identity of the designer outlet. This open space is surrounded by a ring of shops whose timeless architectural language establishes the framework for the internal stage of the retail experience. Areas of landscaping contain vegetation typical to the region as well as traditional “Heide buildings” which are the home to shops and other special functions - combine to create a special world in which visitors can alternate between shopping and lingering in a regional landscape.
The designer outlet meets the highest ecological standards and was certified in line with the BREEAM certification system.
