Hamburg-Harburg, 4th August 2022 – Vibracoustic and ATP Hamburg marked the start of construction of a new office building with a traditional groundbreaking ceremony. The particularly sustainable concept, which is based on saving resources and the circular economy, is integral to the sustainability strategy of Vibracoustic and the Freudenberg Group.
User-oriented
The four levels of the new building will contain a varied office landscape, which is being tailor-made to meet the needs of its users. Alongside offices, think-tanks, and meeting rooms there will also be numerous zones for communication and exchange. All these areas enjoy high daylight levels and are open plan. The range of spaces is rounded off by a modern canteen at ground level with full-height glazing and a generous external terrace.
Climate-fit
A central element of the design strategy is the circular economy and the related reduction in CO2 emissions. For this reason, the materials built into the façade can be separated and the tender process was organized via BIM2AVA, with a focus on recyclable and demountable materials. The building will be built using low-CO2 concrete. ATP and Vibracoustic are working together to achieve EG-55 certification for the new building. The particularly high energy standards required by such certification should be reached with the help of PV systems, air-air heat pumps, and the high level of insulation of the building envelope.
