Haiming, 10th February 2017–The Tyrolean family company Handl Tyrol has been working for the past few years on a masterplan that was developed to guarantee growth in the future. In order to achieve this, the company sought its own location for the production of Tyrolean ham. Following the selection of a site in Haiming and the integrated design of the new facility, construction work has now started. Gerald Hulka (ATP Partner in Innsbruck) and the architect Thomas Walder (ATP Innsbruck) joined the client to celebrate the start of construction.
ATP designed a production facility for Handl Tyrol’s traditional and internationally proclaimed Tyrolean ham specialties in close cooperation with the company’s own project team. The objective was to underline the tradition of the company while both increasing production and meeting international standards. This will enable the company to open up new markets while also strengthening its role as an ambassador for Tyrol’s culinary culture.
In line with these objectives, ATP designed a partly two-story building according to the latest technical standards and taking ideal operational flows into account. The entire project was subject to an environmental impact review and will be accompanied by an ecological construction supervisor.
