Mladá Boleslav, 30th May 2022 – The foundation stone for the new Laurin & Klement Kampus was laid at the end of May. The new headquarters of ŠKODA AUTO are being built directly opposite the previous offices in Mladá Boleslav and are due to be occupied in the second half of 2023. The building complex, which has been integrally designed by ATP Vienna and ATP sustain for VW Immobilien, establishes a new benchmark for sustainability. The aim is to achieve DGNB Gold certification.
The future headquarters of the Czech automobile manufacturer will cover a total area of 44,000 m2. Four five-story buildings will offer space for up to 1,700 employees. Alongside the offices, the new complex will also contain a company restaurant and conference areas. The underground garage will have a capacity of over 300 cars.
The energy concept is based on the use of renewable energy and a resource-friendly power supply. Targeted measures including a roof-mounted PV plant, constructional interventions, and technical innovations will greatly reduce electricity consumption. Highly efficient ventilation systems will cool the offices at night while the energy recovered by the air conditioning systems will achieve a recuperation coefficient of 80 per cent.
