Deutschnofen/Karneid, 4th November 2020 – It was a bottleneck in its “production capacities” that persuaded Holz Pichler AG to organize a private, single-stage design competition in summer 2020. The design concept from the D&R team at ATP Innsbruck convinced the jury with the “balanced and coherent distribution of the volumes” across the site and the “easy scalability and dynamic expandability of the buildings.” We are delighted about this 1st Prize.
The concept includes the expansion of the current production facility and the development plan for a new business park that can be both rented out and adapted to meet any operational needs. In order to be ready for the future, the production building is flexibly adaptable: “The design process already took several expansion options into consideration,” says Paul Ohnmacht, Head of Design in Innsbruck. “For example, small, autarchic areas of hall for letting out or for different production possibilities can be added at any time.”
“The project is harmonious and convincing in both functional and architectural terms,” was the jury’s evaluation of the winning project.
