Online, 17th September 2020 – This year we won’t just talk about digitalization, we’ll experience it! That was how the media company SOLID/WEKA Industrie Medien GmbH announced news of this year’s edition of the well-known get-together for Austria’s construction and BIM community. And it lived up to the announcement: The 5th SOLID BIM Conference, sub-titled “Digital is more than BIM,” was the first such conference to be virtual. ATP was represented at the event by the Plandata Managing Director Lars Oberwinter.
During the so-called “Breakout-Sessions,” which could be visited between 13:00 and 17:30, Oberwinter spoke about BIM Quality Management 2.0. He said that rigorous quality management in BIM could lead to long process chains and highly complex communication. This is why Plandata has developed a solution that evaluates the quality and content of models on the basis of rules directly inside the generating software, visualizes any problems, and delivers its role-based conclusions online. Two concrete tools are involved: One a plug-in for troubleshooting, the other a dashboard that makes it possible to retain an overview within BIM models. Plandata has been making both available on the free market since September.
