Krolewska/Poland, 30th December 2022 – Gold Winner: Out of over 450 submissions, the IWC Manufacturing Center, which was integrally designed by ATP architects engineers, has received the International Architecture & Design Collection Award 2022 in the “Industrial Architecture Built” category. In making its decision, the expert jury honored the outstanding design quality of the elegant showcase factory.
Manufacturing center for luxury watches
Filigree and timeless – and with an aesthetic that hints at the pavilion-like buildings of the Modern Movement – the architectural concept by ATP Zurich is closely related to the high-quality design of IWC’s luxury watches. The “exquisite manufactory” slips elegantly and smoothly into the rolling landscape near Schaffhausen am Rhein, as a standalone building with an extraordinary aura.
Designed with a focus on energy efficiency and for maximum flexibility, longevity, and cost-effectiveness, the facility brings together the production of components, movements, and cases with a showroom, in which visitors can experience the entire world of IWC at first hand – all under a single roof.
The IWC Manufacturing Center already received the ICONIC AWARD 2020 and the German Design Award 2021.
