Austro Tower: Topping-Out

Celebration of ATP Vienna and client SORAVIA at an airy height of 135 meters

Vienna, 22nd July 2021 – Having been postponed due to Corona, the official party to celebrate the topping out of the Austro Tower, which occurred on schedule back in January of this year, has now taken place at a small but very agreeable scale.

With a height of 135 meters and 38 stories, the “Austro Tower” office building is not only a new landmark on Vienna’s Danube Canal, but also Austria’s fifth highest building. The tower will be home to around 28,000 m² of office space together with a conference center, an in-house restaurant that is open to the public and a café and will have a total above-ground GFA of around 43,400 m². The responsibilities of ATP Vienna include the architectural execution design, the integration of the tenant fit-out design, the building physics, the LEED and ÖGNI Platinum certification, and the design of the external spaces.

The tower is notable for not only the view across the roofs of Vienna from the top floor, but also the fact that the construction process has kept to timetable, despite the delays caused by the pandemic.
