Hamburg, 15th June 2022 – Elation on the Elbe: ATP Hamburg’s proposal has been selected for realization for the Border One Stop Shop (B.O.S.S.) pilot project in the city’s port. As the future central location for import and customs procedures, the new building is a pioneer of the EU strategy of carrying out controls at all EU access points at the same time and in one place.
The outline idea creates a self-confident landmark at the gateway to the city. The volume consists of a linear base with offices for clients and spaces for implementing import controls below an office cube. “Although functionality and efficiency have top priority, it was also important to us to create optimal space for the different workflows and user needs,” says Alexander Montero, Head of Design at ATP Hamburg, explaining the idea.
The team from ATP Hamburg also paid special attention to sustainability: The building methods and materials and the design of the complex ensure high energy efficiency, healthy workspaces, and, above all, a long future in line with the Green Deal.
