London, 1st January 2021 – The annual BD Ranking is out: And once again ATP has risen a few steps! Having made the Top 20 in the list of the world’s 100 largest architecture offices for the first time in 2020, this year we have climbed another five places. By growing by another 40 architects we have now risen to 14th place in the ranking in “Building Design’s annual survey of the top global practices” from the well-known magazine “Building Design” (BD).
Market leader in Western Europe
In Europe, only our colleagues from Sweco (4th place) are ahead of ATP architects engineers. The next largest European architectural offices are HPP Architekten (Germany, 24th place), White Arkitekter (Sweden, 26th place), and GMP Architekten (Germany, 28th place). In terms of contract volume we have climbed to 1st place in Western Europe while we continue to occupy a strong 2nd place in Central and Eastern Europe.
From T2 to ALEJA
In terms of market, our greatest success has come in the areas of “Science and Technology” (see Terminal 2/ Berlin-Brandenburg Airport) and “Retail” (see Shopping Center ALEJA). And ATP is also in the Top 10 in the areas of “Consulting”, “Environment”, “Engineering”, and “Construction Management”.
Thanks to Hamburg – now present in eleven locations
This upward trend can also be put down to last year’s successful founding of ATP’s new Hamburg office. This means that the ATP Group now has five offices in Germany and a total of eleven integrated design offices in the DACH and CEE Regions.
