Salzburg, 20th–21st January 2022 – Around 200 young professionals in 32 different trades – from garden designers to tailors – took part in the Austrian Championships for Apprentices. Three future talents from ATP also entered and, thanks to their professional knowhow and strong nerves, took the silver and bronze medals in the newly created discipline “Digital Construction 4.0”.
The competition was divided into three comprehensive projects, which covered both digital processes and building execution. Alongside the setting up of a data platform in line with the BEP requirements for the project, the creation of a model of a three-story building, and the control of collisions with the help of a range of programs, the participants also had to draw up a 4D construction process simulation and organize the site management. The completed projects were then evaluated by an expert jury.
