Zumtobel

ATP kfp Zurich has designed an extension to the lighting plant: A new production hall for innovative LED lighting and new administration wing are under construction.

The Zumtobel facility in Schweizerstraße in Dornbirn is currently home to an imposing construction site. Two sides of the new building connect to an existing production building. An additional 8.500 m2 of production space for new product ranges such as innovative LED lighting is being built. The low building to the north contains offices for the factory management as well as such areas as construction, supply chain management and quality management.

The new building was conceived during a year of intensive integrated cooperation by architects and engineers from ATP kfp Zürich and ATP Innsbruck. Site supervision was the responsibility of the engineer Christian Schwarz of ATP Innsbruck, who is delighted that progress is on schedule and with the excellent work by the largely local contractors. “Most of the concrete elements are being poured in situ, although the special 16 m long concrete columns were prefabricated and delivered.”

The new hall will be opened this autumn.
