ATP wins 2nd prize in the invited competition for a residential and retail complex in the Munich-Riem exhibition district

The competition design for the urban residential block on the 3,360 square meter building plot of the former Munich airport had to meet the design guidelines of the Riem Exhibition Center and offer the optimal economic use of the site.

The design by ATP Munich proposes a multi-story building designed to fit into its surroundings. The building has a high-level internal courtyard, ground-floor retail space and basement parking.

With its smooth lines and internal balconies, the design of the facade is restrained. The high proportion of living space at each floor ensures that even the small residential units enjoy generously sized rooms and reduce circulation space to a minimum. Communal roof terraces, a relationship with nature and the ability to ventilate each apartment from a range of directions underline the highly economic residential quality of the building.

Organizer: TBB TenBrinke Projektentwicklungs-GmbH,

Competition team: Xavier Temme, Michaela Hauser, Berit Kleine-Möllhoff, Lars Keim
