ATP was named as “Architect of the Year 2014” and awarded gold for “G3” and silver for the “Kornata” seating element at the 7th International Design Awards in L.A., USA
The prestigious American award is presented biennially. The Gala Ceremony, in which ATP took part, was held in the Harmony Gold Theater on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood on 4th May 2015. Out of over 1,000 entries from 52 countries, ATP was awarded 1st prize in the Architecture/New Commercial category for the G3 Shopping Resort and a silver medal for “Kornata”. The seating element for semi-public spaces created by ATP-Vienna’s Head of Design Dario Travas has already received a number of awards and can already be seen in museums. Prominently positioned on the website for an entire year as “architect of the year”, the ATP design attracted extensive attention and media presence, including in the book of the “International Design Awards”.
The International Design Award turns the spotlight on the world’s most visionary designers with the aim of increasing global understanding for design. Projects are evaluated in the categories architecture, interior design, fashion, product and graphic design. The international jury includes such editors and leaders of opinion as Qingyun Ma, Dean of Architecture, University of Southern California; Gwynne Pugh, Pugh+Scarpa Architects; Kahi Lee, Moderator of HGTV’s "Design on a Dime" and Style Network’s "My Celebrity Home"; Rido Busse, Chairman, German Industry and Trade Board; John Dunnigan, Chair, Department of Furniture, Rhode Island School of Design; Brandusa Niro, Chief Editor and Founder of Fashion Week Daily.
