Girteka Campus, Vilnius, LT
1st prize in an international architectural competition for a global headquarters
As part of an international competition ATP drew up a design for the new corporate headquarters of the Lithuanian large fleet operator Girteka Logistics in Vilnius. The Campus should unite an ensemble of elements including office buildings, truck service stations, parking spaces, and a shopping center and serve the growing transport company as its new global headquarters.
The concept from ATP Vienna inserts all elements of the Campus – buildings, parking spaces, and footpaths – into a simple but functional grid structure. The parking spaces are lowered below the raised offices, a design decision that makes it possible to decentralize the vertical circulations and reduce distances to workspaces. A network of pedestrian and cycleways on the campus means that non-motorized employees can also move safely from A to B.
ATP was successful in the competition against five fellow architectural offices. The jury was made up of independent real estate and office experts, architects, and representatives of Girteka Logistics.
