Having been awarded 1st prize in the architectural competition for the enlargement of the Innsbruck Trade Fair in October 1997, ATP architects engineers of Innsbruck was commissioned to turn its competition design into reality.
A powerfully structured three-story exhibition and office building, newly-formed entrance area and the new Exhibition Hall 4 with over 4,100 m2 of exhibition space (use for fairs, exhibitions, congresses and special events). The load-bearing structure of the roof of this hall consists of 11 53-meter long laminated timber beams together with prefabricated timber-sandwich panels and covers the circulation space formed between the new and existing buildings. The project not only met the very tight timetable but was also completed under budget.
