1st Prize Niederrad Office City, Frankfurt am Main, DE
ATP Frankfurt was awarded 1st Prize for its contextually sensitive and aesthetically high quality concept for the refurbishment of a 1980s office building.
The design idea envisages the enhancement of the existing white cubic architecture through modest interventions in the façade and the introduction of a symmetrical grid. This clear sense of rigour is also reflected in the interior in the choice of materials and organisation of the H-plan.
The project meets the requirements of the Client to create a flexible floor plan which can be divided into up to four office units in order to be able to offer tailor-made office concepts to potential tenants. The existing building structure and mechanical services systems – as well as the fire protection requirements – were controlled in great detail, in order to ensure that the design took full account of these issues.
