Imst, 22nd November 2017 – After a construction period lasting just a year an INTERSPAR hypermarket with a restaurant and three further shops designed by ATP Innsbruck has opened in a prominent location in Tyrol’s Upper Inn Valley. The Lead Project Manager Ioana Berceanu and her team celebrated the opening alongside the client and numerous representatives from politics and business.
The new hypermarket, which measures around 3,000 m2, is located on a steep site adjacent to the southern entry to Imst where it will assume the role of local supplier to both the town and the neighboring valleys. In reference to the surrounding Tyrolean mountain landscape the shopping center is notable for its mix of both traditional and modern materials. The façade of the INTERSPAR hypermarket is a cube clad with wooden shingles which is an alpine variation of the corporate architecture concept developed by ATP for INTERSPAR.
