Office Refurbishment for Swiss Post at Westpark Zurich
For Swiss Post Real Estate Ltd., we developed a modern office hub in the Westpark Zurich office building following the Activity-Based-Working principle. The new working environment strengthens collaboration and productivity for around 400 employees.
With a strategic focus on the further development of their Zurich location, Post Immobilien AG commissioned us with the transformation of their office spaces in Westpark. On approximately 3,500 m2 of office space, several locations are being merged to create attractive, contemporary work environments with office and IT areas, workshop and training rooms, as well as a cafeteria. The aim was to create an open, adaptable office concept that focuses on the diverse needs of the employees – from communication to seclusion.
Transformation within the existing building
Through the integrated design process, a smooth planning and implementation process was ensured: After the dismantling of the existing tenant fit-out, space was created for modern, adaptable office structures. The planning concept was based on four variants with different zoning, which we developed in close collaboration with the users. The implementation took place step by step while the office was in operation.
Just like the Swiss Post itself: fast, precise, pragmatic. The new office design brings efficiency to the point and reflects the values of the client. The open spatial structure promotes dialogue and creates an environment that fosters modern collaboration.

Flexible Working Environments
Two additional floors were created to accommodate spacious office areas, implementing the Activity-Based Working concept consistently. Users benefit from a wide range of workspaces tailored to individual tasks and changing requirements: from communication and collaboration areas to retreat spaces for focused work, and zones for confidential exchanges. An innovative acoustic and design concept ensures a high quality of stay, while a new cooling system creates an optimal indoor climate.
In the POST-Look
The design is based on the POST guidelines and translates them into a fresh, identity-creating work environment. Furniture and color schemes follow the respective use zones of the open space office: Subtle color accents and playful design elements enliven collaborative areas, while the restrained design in the focus zones promotes a calm atmosphere and concentration.
