A Well-Rounded Concept
Conference Center Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation
The conference center of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation in Berlin surprises with the harmonious combination of different spatial impressions.
A circular conference room, located in the center of the ground floor, forms the heart of the building, two and a half stories high and open to the south through a vertical glass exterior facade. Together with a foyer equipped with steps that horseshoe the room, it accommodates approximately 800 guests. In front of it, a second assembly area is created, separated by an approximately 8 m high sliding wooden wall made of maple veneer. This wall can be slid into side pockets, opening up a daylight-flooded event zone.
