Vomp, 24th September 2017 – The new municipal offices with library & toy library in the Tyrolean village of Vomp, which was designed by ATP Innsbruck, has been ceremonially opened. The employees of the municipality have been able to enjoy their new working environment since June. In order to present the new village center to the public, the municipality invited locals to an open day. Special features include the large meeting room and the comfortable “Fonapa Lounge” with bar and exhibition space for local artists, the library with its balcony, and the new village square.
Following the demolition of the existing building which dated from 1964 and its success in an architectural competition the Design and Research Studio of ATP Innsbruck under the leadership of Caroline Ohnmacht oversaw the design of the administration building and the child-friendly library.
The new center has a resource-saving energy concept. The roof and façade play with the materiality of a Tyrolean village, integrating the building complex with urban design skill into the village structure.
