ATP sustain reinforces the ÖGNI

Michael Haugeneder has been elected onto the Executive Committee

Vienna, 31st March 2022 – Michael Haugeneder, Managing Director of ATP sustain, was elected onto the Executive Committee at this year’s AGM of the Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ÖGNI). And two further ATP experts, Tobias Hutter and Florian Kurz, are also members of important committees.

As his new term of office is just starting, Michael Haugeneder will be part of the 13-strong Executive Committee for the next five years. He was previously a member of the Certification Committee.
Tobias Hutter, an authorized signatory of ATP sustain, retains his membership of the Education Committee and has also joined the Certification Committee. Florian Kurz, an energy and sustainability expert, was reelected to the Education Committee. “This ensures that we will continue to be involved in discussions about the latest issues affecting sustainable building from day one and be able to energetically contribute to an environmentally-friendly future,” said a delightedMichael Haugeneder.
The Executive Committee and the other committees work constantly on the development and measurability of sustainability and on the implementation of the requirements of EU Taxonomy in the sector. One of the objectives is to strengthen the use of ÖGNI Certifications as a benchmark for taxonomy and ESG and as a basis for green funds and financing.

ÖGNI – Austrian Sustainable Building Council
Founded in 2009, the ÖGNI is an NGO devoted to the establishment of sustainability in the construction and real estate sectors. It is a cooperation partner of the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council), whose certification system it has adopted, adapted for Austria, and constantly develops. As the only Austrian council, the ÖGNI is an “established member” of the World GBC (World Green Building Councils) and has the objective of reinforcing the European quality certificate at the global level.

ATP sustain
As a research and specialist design consultancy of the ATP Group, ATP sustain has been an incubator for the implementation of research findings and innovations in the integrated design process – and a service provider to external clients – since 2009. Comprehensive consultation in the earliest design phases improves project outcomes over the long term. The commendation of a building in the form of building certification represents the logical basis for sustainable construction.
