The 'Shopping Center in the West' is prominently located on a hilltop overlooking the port of Rijeka. The three-story building offers a spectacular view of the sea.
The striking form of the gold-glittering metal body on a gray base stylizes the Karst Mountains behind it and is visible from afar. Towards the sea, the glazing of the panorama lifts offers a view over the bay.
The interior is deliberately restrained in color design, kept in a light beige. Color accents should be set by the individual shops and by the visitors. Architectural elements such as the intersections of the two roofs as well as air spaces between the floors are emphasized through targeted lighting.
The architecture provided space for identification with the city of Rijeka and its contemporary history, as well as for the thematic elements of the location (sea, harbor, city, mountains). Three sales floors with 20,000 m2 sales area – interconnected with air and light spaces, skylights, and panoramic glazing, offer a special quality of stay.
