HILTI P4plus
Production for HILTI in Thuringia
As part of a competition with a preceding evaluation process, our design for a new production facility and an orderly long-term development of the site was selected for implementation.

While the 30m high high-bay warehouse is visually swallowed up by the backdrop of the floodplain forest as a black, vertically oriented cube, the shed-covered process areas present themselves as a metallic, scaly monolith. The production building is conceived as an analogy to the metal blank, which acquires its shape through the subtractive machining process.
Together with the client, a 'Sustainability Requirement Catalog' was developed. Energy efficiency results from the innovative interplay of control technology, energy-efficient hydraulic circuits, and creative systems for geothermal, groundwater, and waste heat utilization.
The new building includes production and logistics areas, a fully automated pallet and container warehouse, as well as peripherally located support and office spaces.
