Munich, 1st March 2020 – The subject of residential building is as topical today as it has ever been. It was for this reason that Callwey Verlag took the opportunity last year to honor Germany’s best housing projects. The 30 prize-winning buildings have now been presented to the public in the exhibition “Excellent Residential Buildings”. Prominent amongst them was IN-Tower, which was designed by ATP Munich and named the “Best Residential Tower 2019”, – and the high-rise building’s sculptural silhouette even adorns the invitation to the show.
Michaela Hauser, ATP’s Managing Director in Munich and Florian Beck, Head of Design, attended the ceremonial opening of the exhibition in mid-February. The delight at seeing the tower in the gallery was written in both their faces: “It is very special when one has worked for years on the design and construction of a building that then goes on to receive so much public attention,” said a delighted Michaela Hauser at the vernissage.
The elegant residential tower was also a topic of discussion amongst the many visitors to the exhibition. Florian Beck, who played a leading role in developing the concept for the hip tower, is well aware of its quality: “Despite the strict guidelines we not only succeeded in optimizing the quality of the valuable living space but also stylishly created the perfect balance between functionality and elegant design.”
The exhibition took place in the Architekturgalerie München between 17th and 29th February 2020.
