youngHeroes Day at ATP

Young people in action in a design office while ATP supports children’s projects from Caritas

Innsbruck, 2nd February 2016 – youngCaritas organized this “youngHeroes Day” for the very first time in Tyrol. The project enables pupils from the eighth grade and above to swap the classroom for the workplace. And while the youngsters gain some experience of an area in which they would like to work one day, they also make a contribution to society and a better, common future because participating companies donate a minimum of 40 euros for every participating pupil to help needy children and young people. This year’s donations went to Caritas’ street children project in Mali and Haus Terra, its socio-pedagogic residential community in Landeck.

ATP architects engineers in Innsbruck made full use of the opportunity to contribute to this better future for children and young people. Two youngsters spent the day at ATP’s offices. Lea and Bischoy gained an insight into the world of architects as part of the team working with architect Gerhard Oberrauch. “We are delighted that youngHeroes Day enabled us to offer these young people a taste of our exiting working environment,” said Oberrauch, clearly enthused by the idea. “Lea und Bischoy not only enjoyed their first professional experience but also played a full part by energetically sharing their own ideas.”
