ATP’s 2013 Christmas donation gave eight children a home
Vienna, 29th October 2014 – The handing over of the rooms in the new unit to their residents took place as part of a “Housewarming Party”. This gave eight children and their carers a new home.
The delight at the completion of the project is shared by all. According to the architect Horst Reiner of ATP Vienna, “this is a place which gives a human face to ATP’s vision of making our world a better place with excellent buildings. We wish the eight children and their carers a wonderful time here filled with special, shared experiences.”
Every year, ATP presents a Christmas donation to a chosen project at one of the company’s eight locations. Shortly before Christmas 2013, ATP management presented a check for EUR 20,000 to the head of Vienna’s SOS Children’s Village, Erwin Roßmann, to finance the building.
SOS Children’s Villages
These are facilities which look after children who are no longer able to live with their parents. They are supported pedagogically and shape their life together: family and daily life, leisure, kindergarten, school and training etc. In this protected atmosphere the emotionally and, often, physically troubled children are able to enjoy new, positive experiences, stabilize their lives and slowly catch up on important steps in their development.
