opening: huma eleven
Opening of the first construction phase
Vienna, 3rd March 2016 – The opening ceremony of the new huma shopping park in the Simmering district has taken part in the presence of a number of distinguished guests. ATP Vienna was responsible for the integrated design and Chapman Taylor for the conceptual design. The 50,000 square meter leasehold site now plays host to a state-of-the-art shopping center with over 90 shops, restaurants and service providers.
“Today’s retail architecture offers people living spaces with a high quality of visitor experience”, explainsthe architect Horst Reiner, an ATP partner in Vienna. “With our experience in the retail sector and integrated design approach we try to contribute to creating buildings which sustainably enrich our lives throughout their entire lifecycles – aesthetically, economically and ecologically.”
The modern shopping center offers visitors an atmosphere with a host of natural elements, light-filled spaces and short distances. “We are delighted with our visitor numbers and the positive feedback from customers – the new center is rated as highly likeable,” reported manager Mag. Stephan Kalteis, confirming the excellent response to huma eleven.
The new building for the shopping center which belongs to the Munich-based Jost Hurler Group of Companies replaces the previous huma shopping park which was demolished in 2014 and was realized in a number of steps on the 12-hectare-site. huma eleven will be managed by SES Spar European Shopping Centers.
