The Murpark is Europe's best "Established Center"
The MURPARK Shopping-Center in Graz won the coveted European Shopping Center Award at the final in Stockholm.
Stockholm, 17th April 2013 – Designed by ATP architects engineers, Vienna and completed in 2007, the Murpark Shopping Center in Graz, Austria, held its own in the final of the most coveted European shopping center award by winning in the “Established Centers” category. Organized by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the annual competition for the prestigious European Shopping Center Award for the most innovative and successful shopping centers is regarded as the “European Championships” of the Shopping Center Industry. With more than 55.000 members in over 90 countries, the ICSC is the world’s most important organization for shopping centers and its awards are regarded as the most covered internationally.
20 shopping centers from 11 countries were examined by an independent international jury in an evaluation process with a number of phases. The Murpark convinced the jury with the quality of its architecture and of the experience for visitors as well as its traffic concept. The extensive investment in the long-term guarantee of the successful operation was particularly emphasized in the jury report.
