Always follow your nose...

Horst Reiner was invited to speak as an expert on the theme of “Multisensory Design”

Vienna, 21st August 2014 – As a participant in a gathering of experts from the hotel sector, architecture, project development and scientific research, Horst Reiner, ATP partner in Vienna, discussed the very special theme of “Design as a multisensory concept – odors as an important experiential factor in bathrooms and sanitary spaces”.

“Every influence transmitted by the five senses – such as smell – has a correspond effect on the way we experience architectural space,” explained Horst Reiner. The “right odor is already very important in, for example, the field of tourism but is also one of the key feel-good factors in the private home and is becoming increasingly important for ATP’s clients”.

Organized by the company Geberit, this second AquaTour took place in the Park Hyatt Hotel in Vienna and was moderated by the ORF journalist Peter Agathakis. Further participants in the round table included Gerhard Buchbauer, odor expert and retired professor of the Department for Clinical Pharmacy of Vienna University, Dietmar Ploberger, project manager with Signa Holding, Veronika Schöpf, brain researcher at the Medical University of Vienna, Otto E. Wiesenthal, owner of the Altstadt Wien Hotel and Petra Böhm, Geberit’s project manager for the hotel sector.
