ATP Munich is designing a lifestyle hotel in the new “Schwabinger Tor” urban quarter

Munich, November 2014 – Start of construction of the ANdAZ Hotel in Munich’s Schwabing district: The lifestyle boutique hotel from Hyatt will be the landmark of the “Schwabinger Tor”, a new urban quarter with apartments, shops, offices and restaurants. ATP Munich has been commissioned with the design of the hotel and of the underground base building for the entire complex. Completion is planned for 2017.

“The Schwabinger Tor district is one of the largest construction projects in the whole of Germany. We are delighted that, as a large Munich office, we were entrusted with the integrated design of this extensive and challenging project”, explains the architect Thomas Mattesich, ATP partner in Munich.

The hotel, with its two blocks of six and thirteen stories respectively, contains 275 rooms and suites, conference facilities, restaurants, a skybar and a spa.

The two-story underground base building connects all the above ground buildings of the quarter and provides their resource-saving energy supply. It has been integrally designed and, together with the more urban above ground objects, forms a single design element.
