Wiener Privatkliniken

Opening of the Health Service Center

Vienna, 1st August 2014 – Vienna’s newest health facility, the Health Service Center (HSC) of the Wiener Privatklinik Group, has been built in the heart of the university quarter in the city’s ninth district. The extension was designed by ATP architects engineers (Vienna) in the form of a design build contract with PORR AG (the total contractor).

Physically separated from its parent building by a park, the Health Service Center is connected to the Wiener Privatklinik by a subterranean corridor. In urban design terms a square is rounded off and the Center becomes an extension to a row of late nineteenth century buildings

Milestone in health provision

The 9,000 square meters of the six story building contain an x-ray clinic, time-share and seven-day surgeries, medical offices and administration areas, a medical supplies shop and an underground garage. “The provision of a top infrastructure for top doctors was one of the client’s main concerns” emphasized Emeritus Professor Dr. Rainer Kotz, Medical Director of the Wiener Privatklinik.
