Groundbreaking ceremony for the “Puma” project

New development and logistics center

Maisach, 16th June 2016 – Freudenberg Chemical Specialities is building facilities designed by ATP Munich for three subsidiaries close to the group’s headquarters. The extension, which measures around 19,000 square meters and is known as the “Puma” project is a response to the company’s growth in Europe. The groundbreaking ceremony recently took place in the presence of politicians and client representatives.

A key element of “Puma” is the construction of a new logistics center for around 120 employees of Klüber Lubrication. Due for completion in 2017, the building centralizes the European distribution network. At the same time, a new technology center with laboratories is being created in order to offer Chem-Trend optimal conditions for the development of its innovative special separating products. Also forming part of the project are a new canteen, parking spaces and office areas for Chem-Trend and, later, for the lubricants manufacturer OKS.

Freudenberg Chemical Specialities is one of the 11 business units for chemical special products of Freudenberg & Co. KG. and globally active in the automotive/transport, mechanical and plant engineering, raw materials and heavy industry and maintenance/repair sectors.
