Wörgl, 16th June 2018 – At the opening of the new fresh meat production facility Hans Reisch, board director of SPAR, outlined the history of TANN. One highpoint of the celebration was the award of ÖGNI platinum certification to the new building.
As a long-term partner of TANN/SPAR in the design of logistics and production buildings ATP’s food production competence center in Innsbruck was commissioned with the integrated design of the plant in Wörgl. “The production building has a highly-efficient energy concept”, said lead project manager and architect Maria Hörndl, highlighting the work of ATP’s building services engineers. “We worked together with our building services specialists to develop a high-performance method for recovering heat.” For example, the use of district heating from the Tirol Milch production facility leads to an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of 780 tons.
The building is directly adjacent to the bakery which was also designed by ATP Innsbruck in 2007.
