Innsbruck, 19th September 2022 – The bachelor’s course “Smart Building Technologies” at MCI – The Entrepreneurial School is entering its second year: Following the successful first year of the course, the team at MCI and its corporate partners welcomed the new students at the kick-off party of the dual study program in building services. The ATP Partner and Managing Director in Innsbruck Gerald Hulka also took the opportunity to become better acquainted with the two new students, who will spend the practical part of their studies at ATP.
A profession with a future
As the co-initiator of the dual bachelor study program, Gerald Hulka is delighted about the excellent response to the still very new course being offered by MCI and is more convinced than ever by this dual concept: “Thanks to the energy transition, building services engineers are playing an ever more important role in the design process. Their skills go a long way to determining the sustainable quality of a building. The interplay between theory and practice guarantees the graduates of the course a solid, broadly-based training with excellent career and future opportunities,” says the construction engineer.
Comprehensive training
The contents of the three-year course include energy and resource-friendly building and intelligent solutions in the areas of automation and information technology as well as the broad field of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and sanitary engineering.
Each of the six semesters is divided into teaching time at MCI and several months of practical training in one of the partner companies. The huge added value for the future building services engineers: All of the students are in a paid job for the entire length of the course.
