Opening at Krankenhaus Lauf

ATP HAID planned the construction of a new ward building.

Lauf an der Pegnitz, 23rd March 2018 – Krankenhaus Lauf held a public ceremony to unveil to the public its new ward building which was designed by ATP HAID. Operating since November, this was a necessary replacement for an outdated building. Urs Klipfel and Andreas Rieser, the Managing Directors of ATP HAID in Nuremberg, participated in the opening ceremony alongside their team. “We are delighted to have finished the fourth phase,” reported Urs Klipfel. “By completing the circulation loop this will offer large-scale optimization and strengthen the characteristically holistic impression of Krankenhaus Lauf.”

A particular highpoint of the opening party was the ceremonial handing-over of the key to the building to Thomas Grüneberg, Managing Director of Krankenhäuser Nürnberger Land, and Achim Jockwig, Chairman of the Board of Klinikum Nuremberg. “This building project has made an important contribution to improving health provision for the citizens of the Nuremberg Region as well as charting the course for the future”, said a delighted Thomas Grüneberg commenting on the opening.

The new, 68-bed building represents the largest investment made by Krankenhaus Lauf in the past 50 years. The growth in performance figures and forecast data in line with economic considerations demanded longer-term objective planning. As a result of this, the fourth phase represents the expansion of the hospital through the addition of two normal 32-bed nursing stations, the extension of an intensive care station by three beds, an enlarged accident and emergency facility, and a new administration level.
