Online, 4th and 5th November 2020 – With around 400 registered visitors and 55 invited speakers the virtual trade fair & conference MODERN BUILDING was a complete success.
Fascinating lectures and expert discussions about the latest developments in the building industry took place on two virtual podia and in four exhibition halls. The subjects ranged from BIM2FM, via IT security in building services, to building digitalization, ventilation technology, and fire protection.
And the speakers included two sought-after experts from our ATP network: Michael Haugeneder from ATP sustain spoke about the historic development of sustainable building and the EU Green Deal and Plandata Managing Director Lars Oberwinter presented some innovative digital building services solutions.
The path to green building
The International Building Services Conference also took place as part of MODERN BUILDING. And, in the area of building services, ATP’s in-house research company ATP sustain is in demand. Michael Haugeneder’s keynote speech “From Brown Building to Green Building” offered an interesting overview of a CO2-neutral Europe and called for some rethinking in the building sector.
Innovation for integrated building services design
At almost the same moment in the adjoining virtual room, Plandata mastermind Lars Oberwinter spoke on the subject of “Mastering MEP: New Solutions for Building Services Design". The architect and IT expert heads the ATP consulting subsidiary Plandata, which specializes in BIM solutions, and understands the special challenges of building services design. Oberwinter sees the continuing lack of digital standards in the area of building services as the greatest problem. At MODERN BUILDING, he sketched out potential new approaches to integrated building services design.
