Elmar Hohlweg Joins the Top Management Team of ATP Munich

The integrated design office completes its interdisciplinary leadership duo by appointing the specialist for energy efficiency.

Elmar Hohlweg has been strengthening the top management team at ATP architects engineers in Munich in the role of “Managing Director/Engineering” since April 2022. The building services engineer, who has been an authorized signatory of the company since 2019, thus joins the architect Michaela Hauser, ATP partner and “Managing Director/Architecture” in Munich, at the helm of the 70-strong international team.

The leadership duo is seeking to use this intensified focus on building services and sustainability to underline both ATP’s culture of interdisciplinary cooperation and integrated design and the office’s special expertise in the field of energy efficiency.

I’m delighted to have this opportunity to strategically develop the office further alongside Michaela Hauser and all our colleagues. Our aim is to exploit all the advantages of the integrated design process in order to make the world a better place with our sustainable buildings," says the new Managing Director.

For Michaela Hauser, the step up of her colleague into the leadership duo is a logical move: “Elmar Hohlweg has been a fantastic driver of innovation in our sustainable and resource-friendly design work."

The process engineer traces his interest in environmental protection back to his diploma studies at the Technical University of Munich, where his focuses were biochemistry and environmental analysis. Hohlweg went on to occupy leading positions at Smart Micro Engineering GmbH and Clean Room Consulting. He joined ATP architects engineers, Munich, in 2016, where he became group leader in the area of building services. He was appointed authorized signatory and an ATP associate in 2019.

ATP Munich is one of the eleven integrated design offices of ATP architects engineers. With over 1,000 employees, the ATP Group is Europe’s leading integrated design company. Integrated design with BIM is a key prerequisite for lifecycle-oriented buildings, saving resources, and avoiding waste. ATP Munich specializes in complex building projects in the areas of production and logistics, multifunctional centers, housing, offices and administration, research and education.
