Vienna, 19th September 2018 – The digitalization of all working and design processes in the building industry were the focus of the 3rd Solid Conference. International digitalization experts reported on the latest technological standards and shared their experience of practical implementation. ATP CEO Christoph M. Achammer and Plandata Managing Director Lars Oberwinter were among the invitees.
In a lecture entitled “Building Services and FM in BIM. A reality check” Lars Oberwinter took his listeners on a tour of BIM in daily use. From his long experience as Head of BIMSolutions at Plandata, Oberwinter is well aware that “the learning and inclusion of process optimization and automation tools offers huge potential.” The highpoint of this year’s conference was the podium discussion amongst representatives of the Austrian building industry, during which the architect Christoph M. Achammer shared his experience of more than ten years of digital design. The key subjects of the discussion included the possibilities and opportunities offered by digitalization, forward-looking projects and the need for a digital revolution in the building industry.
ATP is a BIM pioneer in the sector
After many years spent researching into and developing digital design, ATP has been modeling all its buildings using BIM since 2012. In this process all the architectural, technical, physical, and functional characteristics of a building are depicted in a central, digital twin. The key to the successful use of the possibilities offered by digitalization is integrated design, the core competence of ATP.
