Designer Outlet Croatia

ATP Zagreb designed a Croatian “shopping village”.

Zagreb, 21st June 2018 – DO Croatia has officially opened, with an area of 15,000 square meters and a total of 75 new shops. “It was our goal from the very beginning…” said the architect and ATP partner in Zagreb, Dario Travaš, at the inauguration ceremony, “… to present the very best of Croatia. Unique architecture is inspired by Croatian regions, and visitors can find here a replica of Dubrovnik`s city tower or stroll down typical Dalmatian streets known as ‘kale’.”

Well-connected in transport terms the outlet is close to Zagreb and has a caption area containing five million people. It is designed as a village with streets and squares. Authentic façades generate an unusual flair. “The architecture of Designer Outlet Croatia combines modern and traditional elements in an innovative manner,” reports Travaš. “This is a very demanding project since we had to meet high sustainability standards defined by BREEAM certificate. The project is the first of its type in Croatia to receive such a prestigious certificate.”
