A robot breaks the ground

ATP Vienna has designed another building at the Austrian headquarters of ABB AG.

Wiener Neudorf, 24.11.2017 – The launch of the second phase of building work at ABB was also marked by some digging work by the ABB robot IRB 4600. Horst Reiner, ATP partner in Vienna, and his team joined the client and representatives from politics and business to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for an office building that ATP Vienna has designed for the headquarters of the energy and automation specialists. An earlier office building and assembly hall for robots were already completed at the beginning of 2017 in line with plans from ATP.

The flexible, state-of-the-art office concept for the four-story administration building responds to the evolving needs of the leading global technology company and offers a high standard of functionality. In aesthetic terms, ATP confidently continues the design principles of the first phase, focusing in particular on the notion of workplace comfort and the layout of the generous external areas. The character of the project is defined by not only the design concept but also the consistent use of ABB products in the building automation and intelligent building services.
